Igor Tomberg
Igor R. Tomberg (PhD in Economics) is a director of the Centre for Energy and Transport in the Institute of Oriental Studies at Russian Academy of Sciences. He is also a Professor at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RF and Senior Research Fellow with the Centre for Energy Studies in the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) at the Russian Academy of Sciences. Before joining the Institute of Oriental Studies, he was Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics at the RAS for 8 years. His publications include numerous articles and book chapters on global energy problem and he is a well-known Russian expert on energy issues.
