Russia’s direct military intervention into Syria has dramatically changed the dynamics of a war that has raged since 2011. The fighting during the last four years has torn this historic Arab country to shreds, made millions of Syrians into refugees, and left more than 200,000 people dead. The stage has been set for a possible […]

“Putin in difficult position over Ukraine: Analyst” Press TV has conducted an interview with Brian Becker, with the ANSWER Coalition, from Washington, about the Ukrainian government’s violent crackdown in its eastern regions, which has caused a humanitarian crisis. The following is an approximate transcript of the interview. Press TV: Do you agree with our other guest’s opinion (Peter Sinnott, […]

Twenty-five years ago today, every U.S. media outlet, along with then President Bush and the U.S. Congress were whipping up a full scale frenzied hysteria and attack against the Chinese government for what was described as the cold-blooded massacre of many thousands of non-violent “pro-democracy” students who had occupied Tiananmen Square for seven weeks. The […]

The next stage in the global offensive by U.S. imperialism The people of Crimea have voted in overwhelming numbers and by an overwhelming margin to leave Ukraine and to federate with Russia. The majority population in Crimea speaks Russian, identifies with Russia and was formally a part of Russia until the region was transferred to […]

The following interview of ANSWER Coalition National Coordinator Brian Becker was conducted by RT The EU and US have carried out a classic coup d’état in Ukraine using ultra-right forces as human material, anti-war activist Brian Becker told RT. And cementing that victory with an IMF aid package would place Ukraine on a Greek […]

Brian Becker of the ANSWER Coalition addresses the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan on August 1, 2013. In this speech, he outlines how the politics of Washington, D.C. dictate what happens on the Korean peninsula, and how the American people must place pressure on their government to end this disruptive influence. Filmed and produced by […]

Download video (122.23 MB) The Obama administration has adopted a policy of provocation and escalation when it comes to North Korea, Brian Becker, the director of the anti-war coalition ANSWER told RT, the ultimate goal of the approach is not war but regime change. RT: North Korea continues to maintain it’s on the brink of war with […]

The American war propaganda machine does a thorough job in misleading the public about the high-stakes struggle the Pentagon is waging against North Korea. On March 28, the Obama administration ordered and the Pentagon executed a mock bombing attack on North Korea by U.S. B-2 stealth bombers equipped to drop nuclear bombs—the most advanced nuclear-capable plane in the U.S. Air Force. In recent months, the U.S. has also used nuclear-capable B-52 bombers to simulate the bombing of North Korea. The B-2s, each of which costs taxpayers more than $3 billion, dropped inert bombs near North Korea. It is not necessary to speculate how the United States would react if North Korea sent nuclear-capable bombers close to U.S. territory and dropped inert bombs as part of a “war game.” By itself, this B-2 mock bombing of North Korea cost approximately $5.5 million, according to Foreign Policy magazine. The B-2 flights by some estimates cost $135,000 per hour—almost double that of any other military airplane, according to a report from the Center for Public Integrity.

What the people of the United States have not been told     If you listen to the Obama administration and corporate media propaganda campaign, you’ll learn that North Korea is acting provocatively and aggressively by conducting a nuclear weapons test — but the new propaganda blitz against North Korea is as contrived as Bush […]

“Our war there will be over. All of our troops will be out of Iraq,” President Barack Obama said in his Dec. 17 weekly radio address.  But while combat troops are leaving, for now at least, the U.S. government is creating a staff of 16,000 for its newly constructed embassy in the heart of Baghdad. […]

Brian Becker, Nat’l Coordinator of the ANSWER Coalition, speaks to RT  October 29, 2011   Brian Becker, National Coordinator of the ANSWER Coalition, says the calls for a no-fly zone over Syria are in fact “prescription for military intervention,” borrowing a “page from the playbook for Libya,” as it knows it can come to power […]

Cutting through the government propaganda and media lies   Libya is a small country of just over 6 million people but it possesses the largest oil reserves in all of Africa. The oil produced there is especially coveted because of its particularly high quality. The Air Force of the United States along with Britain and […]

Wikileaks-released State Department cables from November 2007 and afterwards show the real reason for the mounting U.S. hostility to the Libyan government prior to the current civil war. NATO has been dropping devastating bunker-busting bombs on Muammar Gaddafi’s home in an attempt to assassinate him. One son and several grandchildren have died but Gaddafi has […]

The stage is now set for the imperialist invasion of Libya. The former colonizing and enslaving powers of Africa—Britain, France and the United States—have committed themselves to the ouster of the Libyan government. Frustrated that the NATO bombing campaign has failed to secure a victory for the anti-Gadaffi rebels, the main NATO powers are preparing […]

From the Berlin Conference of 1884 to the London Conference of 2011   The leaders of 14 capitalist powers in Europe plus the United States met for a conference in Berlin 126 years ago to decide how all of Africa’s land and vast resources would be divided as colonies and zones of control among themselves. […]

On March 19, the eighth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, U.S., British and French planes began bombing Libya, launching a new war against yet another Arab country. Two days earlier the U.N. Security Council, under intense pressure from the U.S. and its allies, had voted for Resolution 1973. Res. 1973 called for taking “all […]
