I am consecutively stuffing my ears with various airline earplugs, in order not to hear the news blasted on the radio. I am closing my eyes when the topic appears on TV, even on RT or Press TV. I skip newspaper headlines. I beg my friends, comrades and relatives not to bring up the subject […]

Friends and Comrades, it is a great honor to be standing here – at the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament. *** One year ago I was driving through the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon, monitoring the situation in the refugee camps there. Winter was approaching and the mountains on the Lebanese–Syrian border were covered […]

Terrorism has many forms and many faces, but the most terrible of them is cold cruelty. We are asked to believe that terrorists consist of dirty lunatics, running around with bombs, machine guns and explosive belts. That’s how we are told to imagine them. Many of them are bearded; almost all are “foreign looking”, non-white, […]

Day and night, for years, an overwhelming force has been battering this quiet nation, one of the cradles of human civilization. Hundreds of thousands have died, and millions have been forced to flee abroad or have been internally displaced. In many cities and villages, not one house is left intact. But Syria is, against all […]

Why the West Can Never Defeat or “Forgive” Russia Historically and intuitively, Russia has fought for the survival of humanity. Of course, things are not always pronounced or defined in such terms. However, already on several occasions, this enormous country has stood up against the most mighty and evil forces that have threatened the very […]

After photographing the new, enormous and undoubtedly sinister building of the US embassy in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, I was driven by a local left-wing politician towards the mountains. We agreed to have lunch; simple, good local food. In front of the restaurant, which my friend selected, was parked an indescribable monster: a white double-decker […]

Our Planet Earth is heading straight towards the most dangerous collision in its history. It is not a collision with some foreign body, with an asteroid or a comet, but with the most brutal and selfish chunk of its own inhabitants: with people who proudly call themselves “members of the Western civilization.” Again and again […]

The Saudi Prince and Two Tons of Narcotics Saudi Prince Abdulmohsen bin Walid bin Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was obviously not fully satisfied with his life. A private jet, several luxury cars and a mansion were not enough to make him feel a truly fulfilled and respected member of the Gulf ruling “elites”. Others […]

Andre Vltchek in a discussion with Yiğit Günay AV: I have worked in more than 150 countries, all over the world. Turkey is definitely one of the most fascinating, and fascinating because it is also one of the most complex of all countries. YG: Turkey as a country is a very peculiar place. It is […]

When respected philosophers get attacked in the middle of the street, you know that something is going terribly wrong with the nation. The Czech Republic (and before, Czechoslovakia) was always a tough, racist place. It had its shameful share of anti-Semitic pogroms (Franz Kafka wrote, after one of them, that he will never be able […]

Interview of Andre Vltchek by Kourosh Ziabari An acclaimed philosopher and journalist who has recently visited Iran tells Fars News Agency that the reality of Iran is absolutely different from the way it’s being illustrated in the mainstream media. Andre Vltchek says “Iran that you see when visiting the country has nothing in common with […]

Southeast Asian elites “forgot” about those tens of millions of Asian people murdered by the Western imperialism at the end of and after the WWII. They “forgot” about what took place in the North – about the Tokyo and Osaka firebombing, about the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombs, about the barbaric liquidation of Korean civilians […]

How fast can a country deteriorate? How promptly can it lose its culture, its soul? Japan was my home for many years. I was running there from countless war zones, to get some rest, to enjoy beautiful nature and its ancient, deep culture. I learned all about its legends and fairytales, I knew its creeks […]

Why should I care whether Iran has nukes? It most likely doesn’t, but even if it does… it never attacked anyone, never overthrew any government, and never performed experiments on human beings. It had not committed a single genocide, and never dreamed about conquering the world. So why should I even bother to think much […]

At the opening of the 2nd International Congress on 17,000 Iranian Martyrs, (held in Teheran on August 31 – September 1, 2015) I was allowed to speak after the president of Iran, Mr. Hassan Rouhani. President Rouhani gave a powerful speech about terrorism in the region, “Maybe for many people it is something new, but not for us … Today […]

Could any dictator desire more? Almost the entire population of the Empire is now thinking the same way! The populace is “educated” at schools and the universities staffed with submissive, and cowardly teachers and professors. The populace is “informed” by hundreds of thousands of servile journalists and “analysts”. There is almost no deviation from the […]

Para gliders are flying over the stunning emerald sea. Summer hordes are descending on a Greek island of Kos from all corners of increasingly aggressive European Union. On the faces of visitors, there seems to be no regret, no shame, that Europe just raped and humiliated Greece, forcing its government to cancel democracy, instead succumbing […]

I have always liked this country of red earth, mighty rivers and rough cobblestone streets. I have liked its bougainvillea, its long silent nights, and its endless open spaces. But almost everything that could went wrong for the Paraguayan people, or at least for its indigenous majority. Before Evo Morales became the President, Bolivia had […]

One of the mightiest South American waterways – Rio Paraguay – is forming a national frontier between Argentina and Paraguay, two countries with similar cultures but diametrically different political systems. Argentina is socialist, with free medical care and mostly free education. It has a progressive government. It sent its creditors, the World Bank and IMF, […]

“US and Local Elites United Against Ecuador” To overlook tremendous progress that Ecuador registered under the current administration, would take great determination and discipline. New airports, highways, hospitals and culture centers are everywhere, and they are impressive. Cities are counting with wide sidewalks, and public parks are equipped with all sorts of playgrounds for children, […]
