At the opening of the 2nd International Congress on 17,000 Iranian Martyrs, (held in Teheran on August 31 – September 1, 2015) I was allowed to speak after the president of Iran, Mr. Hassan Rouhani. President Rouhani gave a powerful speech about terrorism in the region, “Maybe for many people it is something new, but not for us … Today […]

Could any dictator desire more? Almost the entire population of the Empire is now thinking the same way! The populace is “educated” at schools and the universities staffed with submissive, and cowardly teachers and professors. The populace is “informed” by hundreds of thousands of servile journalists and “analysts”. There is almost no deviation from the […]

Para gliders are flying over the stunning emerald sea. Summer hordes are descending on a Greek island of Kos from all corners of increasingly aggressive European Union. On the faces of visitors, there seems to be no regret, no shame, that Europe just raped and humiliated Greece, forcing its government to cancel democracy, instead succumbing […]

I have always liked this country of red earth, mighty rivers and rough cobblestone streets. I have liked its bougainvillea, its long silent nights, and its endless open spaces. But almost everything that could went wrong for the Paraguayan people, or at least for its indigenous majority. Before Evo Morales became the President, Bolivia had […]

One of the mightiest South American waterways – Rio Paraguay – is forming a national frontier between Argentina and Paraguay, two countries with similar cultures but diametrically different political systems. Argentina is socialist, with free medical care and mostly free education. It has a progressive government. It sent its creditors, the World Bank and IMF, […]

“US and Local Elites United Against Ecuador” To overlook tremendous progress that Ecuador registered under the current administration, would take great determination and discipline. New airports, highways, hospitals and culture centers are everywhere, and they are impressive. Cities are counting with wide sidewalks, and public parks are equipped with all sorts of playgrounds for children, […]

The World is Turning, Don’t Let it Turn Away Do not take the Latin American revolutions for granted. They inspired the entire Planet. They brought hope to every corner of our scarred Earth. But now they are themselves in need of our support. If left alone, they would thrive for decades and centuries. But the […]

After my two days marathon discussion with Noam Chomsky, (at MIT in 2012), a bestselling book was born. Later this year a film will hit the cinemas. Noam and I discussed Western imperialism, and the terror it has been spreading around the world. After WWII, at least 50 million lives were lost. Lives of those […]

First they manufacture monstrous lies, and then they tell us that we should be objective! Is love objective; is passion? Are dreams defendable, logically and philosophically? When a house is attacked by brigands, when a village is overran by gangsters, when smoke, fire and cries for help are coming from every corner, should we award […]

V-DAY: RUSSIA’S PERPETUAL FIGHT AGAINST FASCISM Trust between the West and Russia is broken. It has been for quite some time, but now it is broken irreversibly. A good thing, because what kind of trust there could be between fascist imperialism and the forces that are fighting for the freedom of mankind? It is really easy to trick the Russian people. It takes very little to gain their trust; sometimes only a kind smile, a handful of loving words, a few sincerely sounding pledges and promises. Russians can be easily ‘bought’ with kindness. They are very trusting, vulnerable people. When approached with tenderness and sympathy, they soon open their hearts, they share their last piece of bread with the hungry, offer their shirts to those who are cold.

I am an atheist, but I am not Charlie Hebdo! My disgust with Western imperialism and fascism is much stronger than my aversion towards religions. And I don’t think that “all religions are equally evil.” I mainly hold Christianity responsible for most of the crimes committed in modern human history. I hold it responsible for […]

Another year, another set of coups that we can expect to be administered by the West. This year, it is all beginning in February. First the onslaught against Argentina and following that comes yet another coup against Venezuela, and its democratically elected, progressive government. The coup has been thwarted. Venezuela prevailed! As Telesur reported: “Nicolas […]

As I was leaving India, which is, according to the Empire “the largest democracy on Earth”, a flight hostess of Qatar Airways distributed, even before take-off, copies of the International New York Times. One of its cover stories was titled “China sounds alarm on ideas from West, with a big exception”. In its usual vitriolic […]

A hundred years ago, it would have been unimaginable to have a pair of Muslim men enter a cafe or a public transportation vehicle, and then blow themselves up, killing dozens. Or to massacre the staff of a satirical magazine in Paris! Things like that were simply not done. When you read the memoirs of […]

Last night, in Beijing, I sat in a historic Szechuan restaurant with a friend who happens to be a Chinese diplomat. We exchanged some stories, ordered food, and then, suddenly, my throat felt dry and my eyes got misty. I bowed and thanked her for the heartfelt offer China made to rescue Russia. Just before […]

This year as in every other year, Christianity and fundamentalist capitalism, two great allies, are joining their forces to extract billions of dollars, all over the world, mainly from the poor. As money flies towards the coffers of the church and into corporate accounts, over-sugary, kitschy Christmas carols and gospels are soaring out from the […]

Qohaito is a mysterious, ancient, pre-Aksumite settlement in the Eritrean highlands, with several impressive monolithic columns rising towards the sky. It is said that right there, under the surface, exists another entire lost city. As you walk, the earth shakes, and somewhere deep below; you can hear the echo of your footsteps. Just a few […]

Hong Kong is frustrated, its people divided. Demonstrations and counter-demonstrations are now paralyzing this city known for its hedonism, consumerism and extreme form of individualism. At the North Point in Hong Kong, near Kowloon Ferry, a middle-aged man is waving a banner that reads “Support Our Police”. On the photo, the tents and umbrellas of […]

The special train carrying refrigerated corpses from the MH17 catastrophe has left the station of Torez, just a few miles from the crash site. People, who died a terrible death onboard the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200, will soon be reunited with their grieving families. They will receive a proper funeral, and will be laid to […]
